About us

The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) represents the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe.
Founded in the year 2000, EPEE’s membership is composed of around 40 member companies, national and international associations, representing over 30 billion Euros annual turnover, over 200.000 direct jobs and millions of indirect jobs.

Our leadership

EPEE Chairman: Juergen Goeller (UTC Carrier)

juergen-goellerJuergen Goeller was elected Chairman of EPEE for a term of two years by the 2014 Annual General Assembly of EPEE.

Juergen Goeller is Director Sustainability of UTC Climate, Controls & Security Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), of which the Carrier air conditioning and refrigeration business units are integral subsidiaries. A German national, he joined Carrier Commercial Refrigeration EMEA in January 2008 as Director Research, Development & Engineering and has held subsequently several executive management positions in the fields of Marketing, Communications and Sustainability of the Carrier air conditioning and refrigeration business units in Europe.

Prior to joining Carrier, Juergen held successive management roles with growing responsibility in Operations, Engineering and General Management in the Linde Group and the Alexanderwerk AG.

 

 


 

julien-souletEPEE Vice-Chair: Julien Soulet (Honeywell)

Julien Soulet has more than two decades of experience in chemical industry across varied roles spanning business management, product management, sales and marketing leadership. In 2014, Julien was named Managing Director of Honeywell Fluorine Products Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.  In this role, he is responsible for all commercial and technology activities in the region for the Fluorine Products business in the refrigerants, insulating foams, aerosols and solvents areas.

Julien joined Honeywell in 2008 as Business Leader for Honeywell’s Specialty Additives business in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.  In this role he was responsible for the top & bottom line growth and strategic marketing, across multiple segments. Prior to that, Julien spent 12 years at SABIC Innovative Plastics and General Electric, in their engineering plastic division, where he held business management positions with increasing responsibilities, at European and Global level and finally in Innovation.

Julien holds a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leuven (UCL) in Belgium and is a Six Sigma Black Belt Certified. He resides with his wife and four children in Lasne, Belgium.


EPEE Treasurer: Rainer Grosse-Kracht (Bitzer)

 

Rainer Grosse-Kracht is a Managing Director of BITZER SE based in BITZER headquarters in Sindelfingen. He is the Chief Technology Officer of the BITZER Group leading the research and development department for piston, screw and scroll compressors as well as electronics and unit development worldwide.

Mr. Grosse-Kracht has 19 years of experience in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. Prior to his current position he was responsible in Application Engineering and Advanced Research Engineering, for BITZER performance data, BITZER Software and Website.

He holds a Master of Mechanical Engineering and Refrigeration and the University of Hanover, Germany and is equally a board member of ASERCOM as well as a member of AHRI.

 

 


EPEE Director General : Andrea Voigt

andrea-voigtAndrea Voigt was appointed Director General of EPEE, the voice of the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe, in 2009.

EPEE, The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment, represents the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe. Founded in the year 2000, EPEE’s membership is composed of 40 member companies, national and international associations realising a turnover of over 30 billion Euros and employing more than 200,000 people in Europe. Prior to joining EPEE, Andrea Voigt has been working in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry for more than 15 years, holding different functions in the fields of marketing, communication and public relations.

A German national, Andrea is fluent in English, French and Italian, holding degrees in public administration (M.P.A), applied linguistic science (M.A.) and marketing.
