Time is running out to submit your abstract for the IIR International Rankine 2020 Conference – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation.

To present a paper at this unique conference that will bring together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Heat Pumps (RACHP) you will need to submit your abstract by the 1st October.  Full details of how to do this can be found at www.rankine2020.com

The conference takes place at the University of Glasgow, Scotland on the 26th – 29th August 2020 and will provide a forum for ORC and RACHP researchers and industry professionals to discuss the shared environmental challenges being faced, the solutions being proposed and the difficulties in choosing the most efficient working fluids.

The programme will feature three themes:

 

Cooling and Heating will focus on refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine cycle. It will explore topics including compressors, heat transfer and exchanger, system/cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.

Power generation will explore systems using organic fluids. The conference would especially welcome papers that compare organic Rankine cycle against other power generation applications. Themes will include expanders, heat transfer and exchangers, system/ cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.

Working Fluids will explore new fluids, fluid blend, environmental impact, performance analysis and comparison. The conference will accept abstracts dealing both natural working fluids and fluorine-based refrigerants.

The event is expected to attract 300 delegates, 120 technical papers and will celebrate the life and legacy of William Rankine on the bi centenary of his birth. Discounted registration for authors and students is available.
