Event on cooling & refrigeration’s role in fulfilling the EU’s 2050 pathway to decarbonisation
Hosted by MEP Kouroumbashev (S&D)
DATE : 5 February 2019 (6:15-8:30 pm)
LOCATION: European Parliament, Brussels
In the context of the recent publication of the European Commission’s strategy for a climate-neutral Europe by 2050 and given the valuable role cooling and refrigeration plays in today’s society, the European Partnership for Energy and Environment (EPEE) would like to take the opportunity, together with CoolingEU, a dedicated platform gathering stakeholders involved in the cooling and refrigeration industry, to highlight how these sectors will contribute to the EU’s effort to tackle climate change, support decarbonisation and promote sustainable development.
We would therefore invite you to save the date for this event kindly hosted by MEP Peter Kouroumbashev, S&D member of the Industry, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE) who has been highly implicated in the European Clean Energy debates over the years and who shares the view that innovation in clean energy is a must and will benefit both consumers and companies.
Please join us on 5 February together with MEP Kouroumbashev as well as other speakers from international and European institutions, NGOs and industry representatives to learn more about the role the cooling and refrigeration sectors will have to play in the years to come to help the EU reduce its environmental footprint.
