On 21 November, EPEE Director General Andrea Voigt, participated in the “future of the HVACR industry debate” at the 9th ATMOsphere Europe event, which took place at Lago di Garda in Italy.
This conference was an occasion for key experts to share their thoughts and predictions of where the HVACR sector is heading in the future!
Andrea Voigt delivered three key messages:
1. To achieve the challenge of the HFC phase down in Europe and the Kigali Amendment we need all low GWP refrigerant solutions. Many solutions and technologies are available!
2. Our industry has a huge potential to contribute to the sustainable development goals, to address the need of increasing the energy efficiency and to support the transition to renewable energies.
3. We are far too modest and need to talk much more about the great potential of the HVACR industry and its benefits for society.
The debate was also an opportunity for panelists to mention the massive inertia in the industry to push HVACR, as well as the importance of education in order to get young people interested in the HVACR industry debate.
