EPEE hosts side event at MOP32: “Refrigerants, Efficiency and Beyond: Sustainable Heating and Cooling Has Many Faces”

On Tuesday 24 November from 12.00 to 13.00 EAT and on the occasion of the 32nd Meeting of the Parties of the #MontrealProtocol, EPEE hosted a side event:

“Refrigerants, Efficiency and Beyond: Sustainable Heating and Cooling Has Many Faces”

The event provided an introduction to sustainable heating and cooling and explained in more detail some of the basics of cooling efficiency and its contribution to the European Union’s climate and energy goals. #CountOnCooling

We explored the importance of service and maintenance, operating envelope and conditions, product design and role of MEPS as well as interlinkages with the F-Gas Regulation and the broader policy framework needed to ensure sustainable heating and cooling. A focus was made on the ongoing revision of the EU F-Gas Regulation, what’s at stake and its relationship with the European Green Deal.
