Chillventa is always a highlight on the HVAC&R calendar. ASERCOM, the Association of European Refrigeration Component Manufacturers, and EPEE, the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment, are delighted to join forces again this year – especially in these difficult times, when unfortunately, participants cannot meet in person. The two associations will co-organise, as they have done for the past ten years, a virtual symposium.
This year’s ASERCOM + EPEE eSymposium (Tuesday 13 October, 13.00-16.30 CET) will provide an ideal opportunity to learn about the European Green Deal, the upcoming review of the EU F-Gas Regulation, and exchange views on how EU legislation and policies impact the HVAC&R Industry.
The eSymposium will also be the opportunity to explore in interactive campfire sessions how COVID-19 impacted the HVAC&R industry in the previous months, what the EU Recovery Plan will bring, and to hear from our friends across the globe what opportunities and challenges they have been facing this year.
The ASERCOM + EPEE eSymposium will offer participants the opportunity to engage with speakers in every session, shed light on energy and climate issues from a national, European and global perspective and discuss how these levels are increasingly interlinked.

ASERCOM, the Association of European Component Manufacturers is the platform for dealing with scientific and technical topics and their challenges, promoting standards for performance rating, methods of testing and product safety, focusing on improved environmental protection, serving the refrigeration and air conditioning industry and its customers.
The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) represents the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe. Founded in the year 2000, EPEE’s membership is composed of over 50 member companies, national and international associations from three continents (Europe, North America, Asia).
EPEE member companies realize a turnover of over 30 billion Euros, employ more than 200,000 people in Europe and also create indirect employment through a vast network of small and medium-sized enterprises such as contractors who install, service and maintain equipment.
EPEE member companies have manufacturing sites and research and development facilities across the EU, which innovate for the global market.
As an expert association, EPEE is supporting safe, environmentally and economically viable technologies with the objective of promoting a better understanding of the sector in the EU and contributing to the development of effective European policies.
As part of the activities EPEE and its members are undertaking to raise awareness on sustainable cooling, EPEE has launched a broader #CountOnCooling campaign. The EPEE White Paper “Count on Cooling: A five-step approach to deliver sustainable cooling” examines the crucial role of cooling in the 21st century.
