The Coalition of Energy Savings has circulated on 5 June a letter to EU Energy Ministers ahead of the 11 June Energy Council.
The letter calls for an ambitious deal on the future of our energy systems and to secure investments in energy efficiency for the benefit of citizens and businesses. The next Energy Council will in fact discuss the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), which has come to its final stages before adoption.
EPEE supports the letter and joins the call for greater ambitions with an increased 2030 target and an accelerated annual energy savings obligations after 2020.
